Plan Your Individual or Small Group Retreat

When planning an individual retreat at Light on the Hill, you have several options from which to choose, including where you want to stay, and how much (if any) guidance you would like.

Our cottages and huts offer serenity, safety, and simplicity. Except for Pathlight Cottage, they have no electricity. They have propane heaters and battery-powered lighting. In Woods and Meadow Cottages, the stove and refrigerator are powered by propane, and the water pump is powered by a generator. These cottages both have bathrooms with showers, as well as wood stoves. The more rustic retreat huts have outhouses, but retreatants have access to a shower at a nearby cottage. Sheets and towels are provided.

Pathlight Cottage, near Inner Light Lodge, has more amenities: electricity and ceiling fans, along with a kitchen/dining/living area with a pull-out double sofa bed, a separate bedroom with a queen bed, and a spacious and well appointed bathroom. The in-floor radiant heat keeps the cottage cozy in the deepest of winter. Our newest cottage, Pathlight is perfect for anyone who might require a CPAP machine or electricity for their retreat practices.

You may choose to be on your own or receive guidance from a retreat guide. The types of retreat (partially guided, guided, and healing) are described on our Individual Retreats page.

The cottages are also available for small group retreats. All retreatants have access to Stillpoint Sanctuary, 2 labyrinths, and beautiful walking trails. Find more details about sleeping options and pictures of the cottages and huts and information about rates and what to bring elsewhere on our website. You may also want to visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.

Submit the form below to inquire about available dates. Effective March 18, 2022, we require full accommodation payment within seven days of booking your retreat. See our retreat reservation and cancellation policy for more details.

If you are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms or if you are isolating or quarantining because you have tested positive for COVID-19, do not come to Light on the Hill. Please seek proper medical care and contact your local health department for guidance on how to quarantine and/or isolate.
